It’s Sleeping Bear Dune’s 50 Birthday!
Sleeping Bear Dunes National Lakeshore is celebrating with fun events, parties, hiking and biking challenges, and scavenger hunts. You can join the party from wherever you are!
Become a Special 50th Junior Ranger!
Download the 50th Birthday Junior Ranger booklet and complete the required number of activities. Junior Rangers over the age of 10 are challenged research their answers to the “Children of the Anishinaabek” portion.
When you’re finished, email slbe_50@nps.gov and let them know:
- your name(s) for a certificate
- what you’ve done
- your mailing address
They will send YOU a special Sleeping Bear Dunes 50th Junior Ranger Badge and Official Certificate in the postal mail. It’s an awesome wooden badge for your collection!
(Please keep in mind that it could take over a month to receive your mail.)
When you get your badge, head over to their video on Facebook to take the pledge.
