Santa brought Trillian an Espresso Machine for Christmas, so we’ve been having all kinds of fun with it. Meaning, she makes all the drinks, and I get to drink them. Doesn’t get much more fun than that! This little creation here is a Lavazza Dark Roast Almond Milk Latte, flavored with Salted Caramel and Toasted Marshmallow flavor syrups. Samurai Tea is one of the newest Boba Cafes in Gwinnett County, Georgia. The main address calls it Duluth, but it’s right at the edge of Johns Creek, so I’ve seen this location listed with both cities for the address. GPS struggles a bit finding the storefront. Our second K-Pop Fan Event for the day was another Birthday Celebration for Seonghwa from the group ATEEZ. Hosted at Oolong Bubble Teahouse in Kennesaw, Georgia, there were custom drinks, raffles, contests, prizes, and more. Several Fan Vendors were onsite, and the girls purchased some beautiful collectible pins. Alysia won an ATEEZ album from the raffle, which was helping to raise money for Asian Americans Advancing Justice – Atlanta, the first legal advocacy nonprofit dedicated to the civil rights of AANHPI in Georgia and the Southeast. One of the newest Bubble Tea Cafes on the scene in Gwinnett County is Cuckoo’s Cafe, located on Steve Reynolds Boulevard in Duluth, Georgia. They have THE cutest little mascot, as well as a unique menu; and we’ve been wanting to check it out for a while! After a day of Alysia and I running our errands, we enjoyed sushi from Yu-ka Sushi Bar Roll & Pho, and a round of Boba Milk Teas from Ding Tea in Suwanee, Georgia. I’ve been exploring a lot of smaller cities and towns around the Atlanta area. Today’s adventures brought me to the quaint little town of Woodstock, Georgia. Smack dab in the middle of a historic railroad route, still right on the tracks, you’ll find a modern expanse of boutiques, shops, bars, restaurants, dessert spots, and more… Among the hippest of those dessert spots, you’ll find Pie Bar! On a hot summer day, you need a cool, fun, and healthy treat! At Poet’s South in Cookeville, a Seasonal Fruit Acai Bowl and a Front Porch Cold Brew really hit the spot! The Acai Bowl was full of plump, juicy strawberries, sweet coconut, crunchy granola, a drizzle of honey, and a sprinkling of chia seeds; atop a smooth, cold, blended acai base. The girls treated my mom and me to a lovely Mother’s Day Tea Party! We headed into Downtown Athens, Georgia to pick up Donuts from Zombie Donuts, and tea from Bubble Cafe! I’ve been wanting to try the Butterfly Pea tea, and it was exquisitely lovely! A cool and refreshing fruity floral, without overbearing sweetness. With tapioca boba, of course! Grandma had a mango tea. The girls had honeydew and almond milk teas. The Butterfly Pea may very well be my new favorite drink! Thank you, ladies! It was a wonderful surprise treat!

After a big dinner at Street Food of Seoul in City Center on 6th, it was now time to start hitting some dessert! Bad Owl Coffee Roasters… Is Oh, So Good! Just two blocks south of Fremont Street, at the corner of S 4th Street and E Bridger Avenue, you’ll find AmeriBrunch Cafe serving up a unique array of coffee and espresso drinks, teas, smoothies, and healthy foods! We got a Pistachio Rose Latte and a Lavender Spice Latte! And is it just me, or does the Pain au Chocolat look just like cutest little sloths! Delicious and adorable!

We first found the pure MAGIC that is Dutch Bros Coffee in Oregon in Summer 2018. The fun, festive vibes of the staff are sure to perk you up for the morning, and that is even before you put a cup to your lips to start enjoying all of their amazingly delicious coffee combinations. It’s “just” a quick drive-thru or walk-up experience, but, man, it will be the happiest 5 minutes of your day! We’re always on the lookout for local, regional, or unique craft sodas and other sparkling waters! While we were in Espresso Fino grabbing our lavender breve, we also stocked up on Bluefly Farms Lavender and Rosemary Sparkling Water. Bluefly Farms is based out of Peralto, New Mexico. We also grabbed a handful of New Wave Sodas in Blueberry, Mango, Cucumber, and Blackberry! Cool and refreshing for the walk around Albuquerque, and a few extras for the ride out of town!

On our jaunt through Downtown Albuquerque, of course we had to make a stop at Espresso Fino! A Lavender Breve for an afternoon break, in between all the street art fun!

Next stop on the Coffee Agenda, Little Bear Coffee Co in Albuquerque, New Mexico! Trillian got an interactive lesson on her pourover, and Alysia and I got some beautiful art on our latte and cocoa! As we headed North out of Little Rock, we timed it just right to be passing through the Argenta neighborhood of North Little Rock right as Mugs Cafe was opening for the morning. With a fabulous Seasonal Menu, we knew we were getting our day started RIGHT! We left the house with plenty of coffee for the road, but our first official stop for Vacation Coffee was the fancy feline-themed Red Cat Coffee House by Railroad Park in Downtown Birmingham, Alabama. Ah, yes, another morning at a fabulous Athens restaurant… Athens, Georgia truly is THE Dining Destination of the South! I came to Mama Jewel’s this morning looking for some Chicken and Waffles, but I ended up not being able to resist the Smoked Salmon English Muffin, and the unique sound of the Ooey Gooey with housemade Jalapeno jelly and brie smothering a fried chicken breast! The service was awesome, of course, and the Southern Pecan Coffee was refillable!

There’s always a little something new on the menu at Condor Chocolates, so we try to stop in as often as we can! Maybe a little too often, sometimes! But, then again, you can never have too much incredible melt-in-your-mouth Condor flavor… This really is an absolute gem of a place in the Five Points Neighborhood of Athens! They may not have an extensive list of flavored milk teas, but their Thai Milk Tea is one of the best we order on a regular basis! I absolutely LOVE their tapioca boba! So perfectly sweet! Oh. We are ALWAYS on the lookout for the Best Boba Tea Places! WIN Bubble Tea in Nashville, Tennessee was super cool for FOUR reasons! First, they have a Self-Serve Topping Bar! We’ve been meaning to try Broast in Cookeville, TN for a while now. It’s a block off my standard beaten path through town, so I’m a bit guilty of forgetting it’s there when we instead run into Poet’s Coffee for our caffeinated indulgence.
