So, this little adventure just started with Mom Solo trying to find a cup of coffee from a local coffee shop after dropping the girls off at their concert in Newark.
But, all I managed to find was a Dunkin’ Donuts on every corner, and no local shops…
So, I began brainstorming other quintessential New Jersey adventures I might be able to get myself into at 7 o’clock at night.
And it came to me!
A Diner!
Yes.
So, I happened across Manny’s Diner in Clark, New Jersey.
And, I must say, it was a snazzy little place.
Definitely NOT your cliche Diner experience.
After putting some serious thought into the menu, because EVERYTHING looked and sounded delicious…
I went with a Corned Beef Hash & Eggs, with a side of Potatoes.
Corned Beef Hash is definitely not something you see every day in the South, so I figured it was a sufficiently Northern enough choice!
And, then, of course, I had to end with some New York Cheesecake!
With Strawberries, definitely.
Even though it was New Jersey…
I was close enough to the State Line to kill two birds with one stone.
Oh, and the coffee?
Look at this pretty little Hazelnut Latte…
It definitely hit the spot.
And I also ordered a Chocolate Raspberry Truffle to go, so I would have something warm and decadent to sip on while the girls were in their Meet ‘n Greet with their favorite music group ever.
They had the best night of their lives, meeting their idols.
And I had a very yummy Mom Solo night of my own!
