You always know when Alysia picks the restaurant, because there is ALWAYS Pad Thai involved! And we do love our Pad Thai from Ah Mah & Son Asian Eatery in Crossville, Tennessee! They may not have an extensive list of flavored milk teas, but their Thai Milk Tea is one of the best we order on a regular basis! I absolutely LOVE their tapioca boba! So perfectly sweet! Oh. And Dumplings. Yeah.

Mmmm! Salad from our own garden! Pay no attention to the four green beans… And, yes, we grew that cheese! And the bacon. Maybe not. But, the rest is all ours!

We have so many beautiful sunflowers in the yard this year! And they do attract some awesome visitors!

After a fun night on the town in Atlanta, I curled up in my cozy hotel bed with some yummy desserts! Dessert by 103 West Bed by La Quinta Inn & Suites Dunwoody! Sweet Dreams!

Trains are kind of a big deal to us. And it’s not uncommon for us to visit a handful of old train stations every week! And the two main ones you will see us at regularly are this Depot in Monterey, Tennessee; and then the Cookeville Depot in Cookeville, Tennessee! Two of our Tennessee favorites, for sure!

Some coffee shops are just shops that sell coffee. And then there is Caliber Coffee Co. in East Nashville / Donelson. Caliber is the sweetest, kindest, most awesome coffee shop I have yet to find along our journeys. In the lobby, they collect items to donate to the less fortunate. There’s always a whole lotta’ adventure going on in Nashville, Tennessee! Music City USA!

We always seem to be running errands and attending appointments in Cookeville, Tennessee. As a result, we spend a LOT of time downtown; at the Cookeville Depot; and checking out our favorite Community Art Installment, Spokes! The Depot is one of my favorite places to hunt for Painted Rocks. So, we stop by almost every time we are in the area. And every time I see Spokes, I always have to snap a few photos, because it’s just so darned cool to look at and enjoy! We also have friends that own an Equipment Outfitter, Itasca Sports, at Lake Itasca…

We are ALWAYS on the lookout for the Best Boba Tea Places! WIN Bubble Tea in Nashville, Tennessee was super cool for FOUR reasons! First, they have a Self-Serve Topping Bar! So, that literally means you can add as many tapioca pearls as you want! Second, the teas are DELICIOUS! Third, the owner was AWESOME! Fourth, check out their swanky lounge, full of board games, card games, and other fun options! We planned on grabbing our teas and heading into downtown Nashville. But, instead, we ended up challenging each other to a Poker Tournament. Which, of course, I won! And…

Hofer’s Bakery & Cafe in Helen, Georgia has an excellent selection of quick bites, deli meats and cheeses, and drinks… And don’t forget the German and other European desserts! Black Forest Cake, German Chocolate Tortes, Linzer Cookies and Tortes, Fruit Hamantaschen, and so much more! Oh, and it is Helen, Georgia! So don’t forget the pretzels!

One of the best parts about visiting the unique Bavarian town of Helen, Georgia, is THE FOOD! High atop our list of favorite quick bites in town are the Bavarian Pretzels! Several places have them available, and the prices do vary. But, we find Hofer’s Pretzels to be quite delicious, and a great value for the price! If you are doing a sit-down meal, we absolutely adore The Heidelberg in the center of town. And their pretzels are awesome! Such a cute little shop that I’d never noticed before! It’s right next to our favorite restaurant, but tucked back into the corner. The employee told me the owner has been in this location for over 30 years! She was very kind, and helped us choose a handmade wooden tulip, in Ribby Purple, for our souvenir. We’ll definitely come back when we can spend a little more time picking out some delicious Dutch chocolates and desserts! They all looked so YUMMY! And on an interesting note, never before in my life had I heard of Stroopwafel until I saw it…

Alana Falls is a small, but still very beautiful, water feature along the side of the main road through downtown Helen, Georgia. It’s conveniently located in front of the park, and best of all, you don’t even have to take a hike to get to it! It’s RIGHT THERE!

I have a peculiar obsession with glassblowing. Over the years I have thoroughly enjoyed collecting a variety of glasswork along our travels. So, it’s safe to say, I can’t visit Helen without stopping by this quaint shop to peruse the brightly colored wares that make my heart ever-so-happy. I am absolutely FASCINATED by watching the live demonstrations of glassblowers performing their unique sort of magic; and I could stand for hours, completely mesmerized, as they craft their gorgeous works of art!

There’s plenty of cabbage in these here patches! But BabyLand General Hospital, Home of the Cabbage Patch Kids, also boasts some exquisite gardens on their estate! Lillies are my favorites… And anything purple! Absolutely gorgeous!

If you’re feeling nostalgic for the super cool toys of yesteryear… Or, if you are wanting to share a little of “Our Generation” with your gang… BabyLand General Hospital is where it’s at! If you’re my age, give or take, you probably recall the Cabbage Patch Craze of the early 1980’s. And BabyLand is where these guys were, and still are, all born!
