Original Starbucks at Pike Place Market – Seattle, Washington – 08/30/2018
Typically speaking, we prefer our coffee shop experiences a little more “local” but when in Seattle, you HAVE to grab a cuppa from the Starbucks Flagship Store! Located in the Pike Place Market, THE Original Starbucks is a must on any Coffee Lover’s agenda! The lines are long, so be prepared for a wait. We decided to let it be the last thing we did on our evening in Seattle, and that was a smart move. By the time we got back, just before they closed, most of the chaos had cleared out; and it almost felt like a regular…
Colorful French Macarons and Bubble Teas from Blank Space Cafe – Seattle, Washington – 8/30/2018
After spending a few hours walking around the Pike Place Market, and some of downtown Seattle in general, we decided it would be a great time to break for Boba Tea. We happened across Blank Space Cafe, and were pleased to find a great selection of milk teas, as well as a fun selection of macarons! If you’re in the Seattle area, looking for a colorful, delicious treat, we hope you’ll love Blank Space Cafe as much as we did! With an extensive menu of milk teas, flavored teas, slushes, smoothies, toast boxes, bubble waffles, and macarons, we’re sure you’ll…
Buck Knives Factory Tour – Post Falls, Idaho – 08/28/2018
What a cool experience for a kid that has enjoyed collecting knives over the years! We did not arrive in time for the actual factory tour; but we still had access to a viewing platform overlooking the production floor, as well as exhibits detailing the company’s history. We spent some time perusing the beautiful options in the gift shop, and scored some GREAT deals on “slightly imperfect” knives. We would love to return some day to enjoy the full tour experience. But, if you time it right, hopefully you can let us know how it was! For more information on…
Fun in Cabela’s – Post Falls, Idaho – 08/28/2018
This is a definite “Fox In the Hen House” post! Logan is such a good sport enduring all the coffee shops, chocolatiers, tea rooms, and other stuff we drag him through on our daily adventures. So, we always make sure he gets his fair share of “Little Brother” activities as well! We spent a lazy afternoon walking around Cabela’s in Post Falls, Idaho, checking out all the cool gear, and dreaming about grand adventures! And we can’t go to Cabela’s without a little target practice! I tried to beat him, but no such luck! He’s got an impressively accurate aim!…
Atticus Coffee & Gifts – Spokane, Washington – 08/28/2018
There is no better way to start the day than happening across a super funky coffee shop that serves up a dreamy Lavender Breve! We endure our fair share of mediocre coffee shop experiences in our quest for a hot cup of Love Language wherever we happen to be at the moment. But there’s NO such thing as mediocrity at Atticus! This was a coffee shop we could have easily spent a lazy morning just sipping away, reading a book, and relaxing. We certainly would have enjoyed more time perusing the spirited gift shop wares as well. But, Spokane is…
Musk Ox Farm & Museum – Palmer, Alaska – 8/17/2018
We were fortunate enough to see several Musk Ox in the wild, north of the Brooks Range, almost to Deadhorse, Alaska on Prudhoe Bay, while traversing up the Dalton Highway. However, if you want an up-close-and-personal experience where you can see, feel, and actually PET Musk Oxen, while learning about them in a safe, educational environment, you DEFINITELY want to check out the Musk Ox Farm & Museum in Palmer, Alaska just outside of Anchorage, Alaska!
