Fort Kid – Knoxville, Tennessee
Fort Kid is a large, all wood playground built in Knoxville in 1991 by 2500 volunteers. It’s future is unknown, as the city of Knoxville has closed and reopened the facility several times over the past few years. As of publication. Fort Kid IS open, but may be facing closure again in Fall of 2019. Many of us have countless fond memories of this amazing playground, and we hope that the City of Knoxville finds it in the budget to keep this gem of a place open for future generations!
