Liberty Bell – Independence National Historical Park – Philadelphia, Pennsylvania – 10/11/2010

The Liberty Bell is DEFINITELY one of those absolute American Icons that you HAVE to see at least once in your life.

With that being said, there isn’t much to do other than see it.

And seeing it does take a little bit of effort.

But, in my opinion, it IS absolutely worth it.

Start your adventure at the Independence Visitor Center to get everything you need to access the Liberty Bell and Independence Hall.

Then, you’ll probably find yourself standing in line for a while…

But, there is a large field in which the kids can burn a little energy while you wait. Just be mindful of the temperatures in the middle of peak summer heat. It can get hot.

When you get inside the building, there are some informational exhibits to keep your mind busy as you inch closer to the Bell itself.

Once you finally make it all the into the room that houses the Liberty Bell, you can walk around and examine the infamous crack, as well as read the inscriptions.

It’s easy to appreciate such amazing American History as it sits right before your very eyes.

It is a little harder, however, to capture a photo without all the other visitors in the background…

So, I don’t have any fabulous photos to share…

But, maybe you can luck out!

But, either way, be sure to take a moment to appreciate our Nation’s History and that you are experiencing such an amazing piece of it!
