There is ALWAYS Something to be Thankful for… Happy Thanksgiving from Athens, Georgia – 11/28/2019

We celebrated Thanksgiving a day early in our house…

Because sometimes life works out that way.

But, before we joined each other in the kitchen to prepare our own meal, we spent the day filling Little Pantries around the Athens area with some Holiday Love.

I don’t tell you this so you’ll laud our good deeds.

However, I do share this in hopes you’ll notice something else.

In downtown Athens, inside one of the Little Pantries that I personally see frequented by homeless in our area, I found something that completely warmed my heart.

And I hope you, too, can be inspired to give thanks, no matter what YOU are going through in YOUR life…

Upon opening the door, we found, scrawled in a humbled pencil scratching, this simple note of thanks.

Someone took the time to show appreciation for those who find it in their hearts to share.

Someone, who probably doesn’t have the biggest, fanciest house, if a house at all…

And they probably don’t drive the fastest, fanciest car, if they drive at all…

And they might not have the biggest, fullest table, if they even have anything to call their own.

But, they do have…

A heart.

And no matter what they have or don’t have…

They give thanks for it.

So, on this holiday season…

Thanksgiving 2019

As you sit in your home, no matter how big or small…

Or, as you drive to see family, no matter how new or old your car…

Or, as you sit at your table, no matter how full it might be…

Or, how empty some of your chairs remain…

Give thanks.

For ALL you have.

Because even though some people out here have NOTHING,

They know…

With heart,

They have EVERYTHING.

Happy Thanksgiving, y’all…

From the Streets of Athens, Georgia…

And from OUR home…

To yours.

We are ALL family.

Much Love,

The SPGFAN Team

Forever in memory of our Beloved River Sivanne.
