Georgia State Park Junior Ranger Programs

Program Overview

The Georgia State Parks, Recreation and Historic Sites Division are now offering free Site-Specific Junior Ranger Activity Books and badges at 59 different parks and historic sites. Visit the parks and historic sites to pick up your Junior Ranger book, explore the unique adventures, and learn more about history and nature.

Who

Guests of any age can learn about history and explore the outdoors as they work toward earning 59 different site-specific collectible Junior Ranger badges. As they complete activities in each site’s Junior Ranger Activity Books, Junior Rangers will experience nature first-hand, explore Georgia’s fascinating history and enjoy outdoor recreational activities. Inside each book there are fun and exciting missions to complete to receive a badge and become a certified Junior Ranger for each park. Junior Rangers can work through the activity requirements on their own or with an adult helper.

“What do I do after I get my badge?”

Junior Rangers can continue earning additional rewards by participating in other outdoor activities. Junior Rangers can earn up to 5 other embroidery stickers once they complete activities related to park experiences like camping, fishing, swimming, paddling, volunteering, hiking and biking. Junior Rangers can get their badges and additional reward stickers at each park upon completion of the activities.
