The Bay Area Discovery Museum (BADM) is a space for imaginations to run wild! Located at the foot of the Golden Gate Bridge on 7.5 acres of National Park land in Sausalito, CA, BADM features seven exhibition spaces and more than six daily drop-in programs for children 6 months of age to 10 years.

The Bay Area Discovery Museum is located at Fort Baker, inside the Golden Gate National Recreation Area, which is part of the National Park Service. If you use Google Maps, you will get the best directions when you enter “Bay Area Discovery Museum,” not the mailing address, into the search field.
Many local libraries have Bay Area Discovery Museum Membership Cards that can be checked out and used to visit the museum. Check with your local library!

Our Open Door Policy
BADM does not turn away visitors due to lack of funds. Families are welcome to visit the museum on a pay-what-you-can basis. To participate, tell the front desk staff that you wish to enter under the open door policy.
Qualifying Membership Packages offer ASTC and ACM Reciprocal Benefits that allow you to receive FREE or reduced admission at over 500 Children’s Museums and Science Museums nationwide!
