The Alvin C. York General Store and Home, now known as the Sgt. Alvin C. York State Historic Park, kicks off the 2016 season with remodeling, improvements, and the addition of trenches in the field.

York, originally considered a conscientious objector to the World War I, ended up being hailed as one of America’s Greatest Heroes, due to his heroic exploits in the trenches of the Argonne Forest of France against the Germans.
