The William H. Houlton Conservation Area protects seven miles of shoreline at the confluence of the Mississippi and Elk Rivers in Elk River, Minnesota.

The area offers numerous recreational opportunities, while celebrating the cultural significance for the Ojibwe people native to the land of Minnesota.
