Cinnamon Bears and Black Bears in Prince Albert National Park – Waskesiu Lake, Saskatchewan – 06/06/2018

Prince Albert National Park, in central Saskatchewan, offers a breathtaking collection of ecosystems such as prairie fescue grasslands, and mixed wood boreal forest; as well as the lakes, rivers, and wetlands in between.

We found so much wildlife here, it was incredible!

The first bear we saw was super cool!

He was a cinnamon bear!

A variation of the black bear, with a much lighter coat, it was the first time we’ve ever seen one of these guys with our own eyes!

Unfortunately, the pics of him didn’t turn out that great, but look closely below and you can see him, for sure!

All the rest of the bears we saw were black bears.

But, they are EVERYWHERE!

Mamas and babies, foraging through the woods!

They sure do love snacking on the dandelions!

And, oh, my goodness! The babies climbing trees!

How adorable!
