Sweet Southern Magnolias – Columbus, Georgia – 05/05/2021

Not too far from Kadie the Cow, in Columbus, Georgia, we stopped to smell the flowers!

Giant magnolia trees can be found all over the South. If you get a chance, stop and smell them yourself! Their fragrance is magnificent!

When we see a fun plant or flower, we always try to capture as many shots as we can of seeds, buds, blooms, petals, pistils, stamens, and all of the flower parts. We also try to capture each of those parts in varying stages of their development.

For hands-on learning about plants, it’s fascinating to see all of the parts up-close-and-personal. And it’s even more fun if you can catch bees or other insects in the process of pollinating the flowers.

Plant and animal life cycles, side-by-side, through the display of their interpersonal, symbiotic relationships.

Sure, you can read about it in a book, but we’d rather hold it in out hands!

And what better way to learn, than by smelling it in action!
