As our first on-site restaurant family-dining experience in well over a year, Easter Brunch at Mama’s Boy at the Falls of Oconee did not disappoint!
Patio dining was well-spaced out for safety purposes, and the staff was doing their part with a smile to provide everyone a lovely experience.
It was a beautiful day, indeed, to be enjoying our meal amidst the warm breezes, overlooking the falls below. Mama’s Boy sits high atop the confluence of Barber Creek and McNutt Creek, as they join, eventually flowing into the Middle Oconee River.
With a variety of fun southern menu choices, we had lots of mouth-watering decisions to make!
Logan had the Pimento Cheese Burger; Alysia and Gramma had the Applewood Smoked BLT; Craig had the Pork Taco Plate; Trillian ordered the Vegetable and Potato Hash, with a Fresh Fruit Cup, holding all the non-vegan stuff; and I had one of my absolute favorite choices ever, the Salmon Cakes Benedict.
The hollandaise sauce is a dream, capped off with the perfect amount of capers… And the salmon, always divine!
Thick, smoky bacon; cool, juicy tomatoes…
Perfectly seasoned barbecue.
Oozy, cheesy, yummy burger…
And the roasted veggies were AMAZING!
As a family, we always share a bite or two with everyone else, and everything was FABULOUS.
Mama’s Boy Downtown can be a VERY busy location, especially during UGA football season, as it is just steps away from the campus, and quite popular with the students.
But, if you’re looking for the same level of incredible Southern flavor, try Mama’s Boy at the Falls of Oconee, and you probably won’t have to wait quite as long for your table!
And the view is so much better!
