From the late 1960’s onward, Conceptual Artist Allen Ruppersberg has truly changed the way we look at art.
His earlier installations, such as Al’s Cafe and Al’s Grand Hotel, combine text and images to take the viewer on a participatory journey through his own personal narratives.
Some of his later projects pull inspiration from a variety of media, such as commercial letterpress posters, ephemera, books, drawings, and films.
His cynical views of mass media, as well as his often contemptuous self-portraiture, are likely to instigate thought-provoking introspection as YOU become the voyeur to Al’s own Intellectual Property.
