The Fabric of Life – A Special Collections Exhibit at the American Swedish Institute – Minneapolis, Minnesota – 05/24/2018

Throughout the Turnblad Mansion at the American Swedish Institute, you will find several Special Exhibits that rotate throughout the year.

One such curated display available on our visit was the Fabric of Life, which is a Special Collections Exhibit from the ASIMN Artifacts and Archives.

From handmade laces, to loom-woven rugs, to natural dyes, to hairwork jewelry, the Scandinavian treasures featured are each a testament to a culture that can weave such intricate beauty, from even the most practical of materials.
